Safar means journey - and The Safar carries that meaning literally. On a cream cotton canvas, an artisan from Kutch has hand-beaded an entire garden: full-bloom poppies in red, pink and orange, blue scattered florals, green leafwork that winds across the surface like something growing in real time. The technique is Aari work - a hooked needle pulled through fabric from below, threading bead by bead, flower by flower. The handles are hand-woven pink ikat, a textile tradition in its own right. Raw jute fringe frames both sides. The lining is clean white. It is, without question, the most quietly joyful bag in this edit.

The bead colour distribution across the floral motifs varies between pieces - the balance of red, pink and orange blooms shifts depending on the maker's hand that day. Fringe length and density on the side panels also vary slightly. Every Safar is a garden with its own arrangement.
