The nazar has been sewn into Indian cloth and carried close to the body for centuries - not as decoration, but as protection. The Nazar earns that name. On a deep black base, an artisan in Kutch has constructed a large evil eye medallion in hand-stitched white cotton rope work, ringed by pearl beads, silver bugle beads arranged like lashes, and an outer frame of antique gold seed beads. Flanking the eye on both sides: columns of iridescent holographic sequins - green, gold, orange - that shift colour with every movement and every light source. The lower hem carries a row of hand-set silver coins, each one sewn individually. The sides are finished in dense black tassel fringe. It crosses a silver-tone chain strap. It will stop people mid-sentence. You have been warned.

The sequin colour distribution and coin placement vary between pieces - some run heavier on gold, others catch more green or orange depending on the light angle during assembly. The eye medallion stays consistent in form; the surrounding field of sequins and the exact coin spacing shift between makers. No two Nazars see quite the same way.
