The Rann of Kutch is one of the most quietly extraordinary places on earth - flat white salt desert meeting open sky, nothing between you and the horizon. This bag carries that stillness. The base is natural jute and linen, hand-woven in a structured half-moon form that holds its shape without trying. Across the flap, a Kutch artisan has arranged kaudi shells - considered auspicious across Gujarat and Rajasthan for centuries, used in bridal trousseau, temple offerings, tribal jewellery - into concentric arches, framed by rows of terracotta disc beads and metallic seed bead borders. A hand-braided jute rope trim runs the outer edge. The strap is a clean silver-tone chain. It is the most understated piece in this edit. It is also the one you will reach for most.Variation Note

The kaudi shell sizing and arrangement vary between pieces - shells are natural, so no two are identical in shape or tone. The terracotta bead colour depth also shifts slightly batch to batch, some running warmer orange, others cooler brown. The overall composition stays consistent; the specific character of each piece is entirely its own.
